ORIGINAL CARSON OVERSTREET PAINTING
“Mist Lifting” is a 36” x 36” landscape painting by artist Carson Overstreet.
Carson grew up in the small town of Bedford, Virginia in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Inspired by the southern landscape and molded by her own artistic family upbringing, Carson--who was always artistically inclined--took up painting in 2013. She’s a self-taught artist who dabbles in a little bit of everything: landscapes, florals, still life, figures and plein air--though large-scale landscapes and florals continue to be her most sought-after pieces. Her work defies categorization, ranging from large to small, muted to saturated with color, realistic to abstract.
Carson's work is available to see in person at LinDor Arts (Roanoke), The District Gallery (Knoxville) and Serendip (Norfolk). Her work is available for purchase online at Liza Pruitt and through Carson's own website, www.carsonoverstreet.com.
